Last year we booked two rooms at Sofitel Moorea and they charged one room at the correct price and one they added an extra 0 to the credit card meaning we paid 10 times too much.
Eventually they credited the difference but we were left with a huge shortfall due to Visa taking a commission on both the charge and the credit.
We disputed with Visa but they said the problem was with Sofitel who eventually credited the difference to our room account.
