Very exciting news. I'm excited that Alaska has a really aggressive growth strategy in place. In addition to the 737 deliveries, they'll now have these E-75's from Skywest.
I'm not sure how ABQ is doing but I wouldn't be surprised to see the ABQ route swapped to the E-75.
I think this paves the way for BNA, IND, DSM, CVG, CMH and maybe even something unexpected like YYZ or Williston, N.D.. Having this kind of fleet flexibility really helps open up new markets.
It's exciting to think of new point to point service with the E-75's from PDX, SJC, SAN, and maybe even YYC to markets in CA and AZ.
I expect the new 737's will be used for adding new cities like RDU, CLT, and CLE. I'd love to see additional frequencies to some one flight daily east coast markets. (like FLL or ATL)
Lots of capacity growth and should be an exciting 2015 because with oil prices low and dropping, I think AS will continue to add more capacity.
