Westpac have just sent out details of their new "altitude" reward programs. It offers three options:
1. convert points (1:1) to QF points
2. convert points (1:1) to Air NZ air points
3. use points directly for flights "on any major world airline"

I am interested in the third... How does it work? Is it dependant on fare levels or is it a FF program per se??? What are the redemption levels like??? Also, if it based on fare levels (hence Westpac would purchase the fare) I imagine there is nothing preventing someone earning further FF miles on the flight.

Does anyone know any more about this?
