Hi all, for a weekend trip in January – I’ve always fancied Lisbon or Gibraltar. I can in theory do both at some point, though I am avios-rich and time poor. But a free weekend has presented itself on Jan 10/11, and there is rfs availability, so why not? Both come in at about 1p per Avios spent/spurned.
I expect the weather could be better in Gibraltar in Jan, so I could save the raging winter atlantic for springtime, but how does it shape up for a day trip? Read a decent summary by Globaliser on Lisbon, albeit a 3-dayer, anyone done Gibraltar? Very small, could be ideally suited to a weekend. Could do CE on the way back as well for an extra 7.50/7,500 avios, though I expect that I can grab an exit row and thus get more legroom on a 3 hour flight in ET.
