We each have Samsonite Lift in all three sizes. They were bought to replace the perfectly good but too heavy luggage we had. Samsonite of course has a new moniker for their latest light luggage but there may be some hanging out in discount stores.

So far these bags have made it halfway around the world, and on multiple other trips, and so far they are holding their own.

We bought purple so they would really stand out in baggage.

In YVR in April one of our three bags went missing with only a one hour window until our next flight. I think the missing bag being purple probably helped in them locating it. We were the last to board but did make the plane.
