I used them for the first time yesterday and it wasn't easy! First it wouldn't recognize my credit card numbers (which were definitely correct) and a message came up in German saying to re-enter them. I then telephoned and was told that rate wasn't available by phone - I'd have to pay more. Great. I was going to just do it, but then they said that they couldn't charge me in RMB, only my home currency - at a 4% premium on top of the 3% card charge. GRRRRRR.... A couple of hours later and it got all the way to the credit card entry screen and said the system was busy try back later. I finally got it done at about 10pm.
I would have much prefered to pay in RMB, but it didn't like my UnionPay debit card either.
On the plus side, the agent on the phone spoke excellent English - I wasn't expecting that!
