sea-pdx-sfo will get you exactly 500 extra miles, so i hope your math is very accurate if that is your plan

depending on your schedule in SFO, right now SFO-PSP is offered at $67 one way for certain dates and is an easy out and back MR with about 6 hours of time invested.

right now i am holding BOI-LWS-SEA-SMF, partially for the F cabin, and partially for the possibility of being able to SDC the BOI-LWS segment and pick up an extra 500 miles it was also cheaper than BOI-SMF direct at the time i bought it.
