Is the "elite" button gone though? I'm only getting the "I'm not flying on this itinerary" results instead of the enhanced availability...

The
[Elite] option has not yet been implemented in the new version.

A few years ago I subscribed to KVS briefly, Diamond level. My main objective was to find biz class award flights between RDU and OTP using Skymiles. The DL site only searched DL/KL/AF, and my experience was that it was often necessary to use RO and calling DL was very frustrating.
After a hiatus of booking international award trips, I again had a need. Specifically I was looking to go PHL-BOM around New Year's, PHL-FCO next spring, and possibly IAD-OTP. I plunked down the $45 for a 6-month diamond subscription.
Welcome back to the
KVS Tool!

Sounds like you were using the
[Awards/SkyTeam] Method [only], instead of
[Awards/VS] and/or
[Awards/DL-SkyTeam], which are required for Awards on
VS flights.
Please always consult the
KVS Tool User Guide to ensure that you are selecting the correct Method(s) for the Airline(s) you are trying to search:

Not only is it "hard to imagine", but it is also technically impossible for the
KVS Tool to display less options, if the correct Method(s) are selected.
