Nuevo Vallarta is quite a ways from Puerto Vallarta, about 10 miles. You can still catch a bus into PV, but obviously a slightly more expensive (likely $1 vs 50 cents) and takes a little longer. Take the bus in to Walmart, then catch the local PV buses into the main part of town.

You might inquire whether your resort has free parking, and whether they have a shuttle from the airport.

Most of the tours/excursions will pick people up in N. Vallarta if you plan on doing some of them.

That looks like a beautiful resort, so I'm sure you'll have a great time. Make sure to get into PV itself for a more authentic experience.
