It was a mass shooting..........and yes there are mass shootings in the USA on a regular basis too. I have no qualms about travelling to Africa, or to the USA, but I am selective where I travel. No point wiping out whole countries, let alone continents based on "troubled" areas that can easily be avoided.

The shooting you refer to is far from the tourist path. Africa is a big place and there are plenty of safe places to travel.
