Pre-assigned seat changed when I went to check-in online

Declined PE to Club Upgrade Offer--Then--continued online check in to find our pre-assigned seats changed.

NO CHANGE OF AIRCRAFT -- PRE ASSIGNED SEATS NOT BASSINETTE--SEAT MAP AT THIS TIME SHOWED 2 OTHER SINGLE BULKEAD SEATS AVAILABLE.

Phoned the Gold Line and told they could see no reason why we had lost our seats but after speaking to the supervisor suggested possible reasons---

1 Broken seat

2 Needed for wheelchair user

3 Infirm person and carer

4 Adult and child

5 Even WW has his seat moved ( then I knew this was becoming silly)

Gold line could not reverse the situation as seat control had been passed-- over to the local airport in USA.

Did not continue with online check in as reluctant to accept the poor seats.

The question I would like to ask is ----Have you ever been moved to an inferior seat when no change of airscraft is involved and was it due to any of the above Gold Line reasons 2 3 and 4 above.

Also could the change be something as simple as a glitch. The system expected me to accept the upgrade offer and was confused when I declined.
