I find it interesting they don't allow EC but does allow F waitlist, which seems to have a fair success rate. It was the opposite as UA Silver: you get E+ at T-24hr (and I always got it), but I never got close to clearing the F list.
Do you get on the waitlist at the time of booking, or only at the gate?
DL doesn't like to give AS elites any better handling than AS does for DL elites. AS doesn't have an extra legroom product so DL took it away. We don't get SkyPriority benefits anymore either.
You are waitlisted at purchase but they will not process that section of the list until the gate. Booking date is used as a tie breaker for upgrades when AS and SkyTEam Elite plus members are booked on the same fare class.
