Here are the options I'm working on. Anyone have more ideas?
1. Hope that we get an interview for a green card scheduled + green card in one month (we've been waiting for two after we've been approved for an interview)
2. contact LA Canadian Consulate. Schedule a meeting and fly to LA. Things are looking bleak here
3. Pay $2000 for another flight. $4000 if we want to fly together
Also, check around local Vietnamese community for a lawyer who handles immigration issues in that community. He may have contacts at the Consulate or another idea. Might cost a bit of money for a consult, but likely to be far less than the $4,000 at which you are looking.
