I don't think that my response is snarky. I was simply saying that most FTers are smart enough that if they could go out and buy transpac J flights on CX for $2400, they probably wouldn't be spending all their time driving around looking for a Wal-Mart with a working kiosk.

And your question was phrased in the form of an implicit statement of knowledge, calling out a previous poster on his statement. It was strongly insinuated that you knew the answer to your own question.

However, if you did truly intend it to be a question, I will answer it. The answer is no, if you are from the United States, $2400 will not take you to many "exotic places" in J, barring a mistake fare, price war, or potentially oddball carriers like Saudia or Philippines.
