Question Original routing credit for original flights after a Same Day Change (SDC)?

I *know* this has to have been discussed before but my search-fu is off because I've only come up with pre-merger posts that weren't exactly spot on.

Anyway... I'm pretty sure the answer is 'no' but, is it possible to get ORC for a voluntary (SDC) change?

I'm currently 9 PQS (or about 6k PQM) short of Platinum. I need to book a short haul trip in early December that will be in fully flexible (B or Y) inventory and thus pick up the 1.5 EQS multiplier.

I have at least two segments both ways, but there are a few three segment options. If I do three segments both ways bam. done. 9 EQS in the bag, and within 10% of the cost of the 2 segment options.

I'm wondering if I book that and then SDC to one of the more sensible two segment routings if I could get the ORC for the 3rd segments. If not, I can just put my butt in that seat... but figured I'd ask the experts.
