I ordered an AVML in CW earlier this year ALA-LHR.

The first meal service was good (not amazing) but a lot better than I was expecting. Being a veggie, I'd not eating much in ALA and asked if there were any standard vegetarian meals going spare.

I got to try the vegetarian main off the main menu too which was a tasty but a fairly basic pasta dish (with a fancy description on the menu). Whilst it was ok, I much preferred the AVML by a long shot.

Some of this is partly due to finding curry's a bit more aromatic and having a bit more depth of flavour and texture.

So I'd advocate the AVML if you're willing to receive something with an Indian SubContinent - Maybe too much of a risk if you can't eat spicy food though as there's no guarantee how spicy or not it will be.

[the second service was just a crappy sandwich and dismal].

The Club Kitchen had some vegetable crisps, but other than that they were of the sweet rather than savoury variety. Jelly Beans were suitable for vegetarians as was the popcorn.
