When I explained to the cabin crew that I had received the offer of a hot vegetable roll on a flight back from SFO she looked puzzled and asked me when this was. July, I replied. She continued to look puzzled and offered me a 'Your thoughts' card, which I declined. I intend to write to BA. It wasn't clear to me that a basic continental breakfast in Club World is all that would be offered after a 9h30m flight, and I don't think it's acceptable. I wasn't finishing my journey at LHR but had a connecting flight later in the day. Spending that amount of money on a CW ticket, I would expect something hot and more substantial to be offered.

A few weeks earlier I also thought the catering for a special meal veggie was rubbish coming back from BCN. A plate of fruit salad for brunch and not much else.

Do BA realise that they're likely to see people like me look elsewhere as the catering is often so poor? Maybe they don't care, but travellers will vote with their feet, despite the polite service from onboard CC. I am also convinced that portion sizes for the main meal in Club Europe are shrinking slightly. I've taken a lot of flights in the last few months to different European destinations, and even in band 4 they seem smaller. I am on a Malta flight tomorrow and will look on in interest.

I'd be interested to hear of anyone else who thinks basic catering onboard is falling down for the ticket price.
Catering has been falling to bits in all cabins for a long time, in terms of both quality and quantity.

Members here will tell us that this is because everybody is paying peanuts to travel but that is not the case. There are still plenty of people paying big bucks for a product that is sadly lacking.

But until customers in large numbers start voting with their feet, the constant product downgrades will continue.
