You could always apply for a standard FlyBuys card & a BNZ GlobalPlus credit card. This allows for conversion of FlyBuys into Airpoints.

No, I haven't lived in NZ since the late 90s and no longer have an address there unfortunately. Might need to talk it over with some friends.
