I was instant approved for a reasonable CL for my PenFed card and that's the line the account had (and still has) when the card arrived and was activated a week or so later.

It is not an excessive CL in the way Amex does, but is in line with other Amex/MC cards I have and is more than adequate for extended int'l travel.
