I ended up in C more than once based on status while on SAS metal I never ever had a single opup on longhaul while non status pax on dirt cheap eco tickets were upgraded
I agree that the upgrade procedure for SK is very non-transparent and leaves a lot to be desired. But one question - You have received an op-up recently on UA as an EBG?
UA is very transparent about the upgrade procedures and in my experience, the upgrade queue for UA flight has so many higher tier members that a complimentary op-up for a *A gold is impossible.
