I had a similar issue today, until i got an email from Accor I was convinced that I had a stay booked in Bristol for next week until I got an email for simplified checkin for the 20th Nov... Unfortunately on a non refundable booking, I was also unable to add names or gift the booking (after pleading for flexibility and offering to pay the difference etc), they did however give me a flexible rate over the phone for the same price as the non flexible rate on their website, teaches me not to double check the booking before i confirm, hate to think what i could have done had I not had the email and turned up next week expecting to have a booking..
