Just stayed here the other day. Unfortunately as I forgot my iPhone cord at home and was too cheap to buy a new one, I didn't get any pictures but the aloft was quite nice. Definitely would return the next time I'm in Liverpool.
Cons:
- They only had one (of at least three I think) elevators operating...as such during busy times it was painfully slow. I ended up walking up and down the stairs.
- My first room could hear the music blasting from the lobby and chatter as it was in the same area as the main stairwell in the building. It was loud with lots of echoing.
- Bathroom shower door (swinging) doesn't seal all the way so water does tend to leak out if you're not careful.
Pros:
- Breakfast amenity for Platinums was a hot buffet in the restaurant, which is nice given that many alofts use the Refresh grab-and-go
- Good location, just a few blocks from Liverpool One and a short 10-minute or so walk to the Docks with lots of nearby restaurants
- Not your traditional aloft design (with the closet wall separating the bedroom and bathroom)
- Tall ceilings and large windows in my room
- Gorgeous building and they did a great job incorporating the elements of the brand into existing building
- Internet was fast (weird login though using three generated words the front desk had to print out on an A4 sheet of paper via bitbuzz...seems like a waste of paper)
