Here is a quick question for those here who have tried both upgrade methods (points via an advance upgrade or optiontown), what has worked better???

I am flying 12/15-12/30 ORD-CPH both ways in Plus and looking to either use points or optiontown for one or both flights. Since points expire with SAS, it might be a good use of points. Thanks in advance for all of your advice!
