At least the Brazilians were civil enough to detain him at his hotel; the US would have shackled the man and hauled him off to a dangerous prison or INS detention facility. What I don't get is why the US requires a visa for Brazilians to visit the USA for short stays; is there really such a huge problem with illegal Brazilian immigration?
