Part of the disgrace is that our govt. does this outrage to law-abiding visitors yet completely fails to enforce immigration laws on millions of illegal aliens who should be detained and deported.

I don't think having a president (or congress) of a different political party would have changed this one bit. This is a bi-partisan disgrace of misdirected enforcement in both TSA and INS (or whatever it's called now). Not a single credible Democrat presidential candidate has come out against the privacy invasions of CAPPS or effective action that would restrain the TSA. If they did, I'd seriously consider voting for them.

(This from a life-long republican who intently dislikes tax-raising, entitlement-creating, political-correctness-enforcing politicians on the left but thinks this issue liberty/privacy is even more serious.)

There is alot I could say here but will bite my tongue(ouch!).

<off the record> as fast as humanly possible I would build a wall with Mexico that would make the new and very much needed wall in Israel look like Disneyland.

The fact that Bush wants to 'amnesty' millions of illegals will probably cost him the election. They vote democrat and now most conservative Republicans are pissed about such trash. (major screw up there)

Agree on illegals coming and going as they please but law abiding citizens getting screwed. Ironically and sadly it applies to law abiding legal visitors from Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, etc, who play by the rules, as a friend of mine is from Costa Rica and goes through all kinds of hasles and she is so sweet. ugh........ Bless them for going the legal route.
