If you booked LON-DUB-MCO on one ticket then you would be liable for APD tax to MCO but would be protected for misconnects.
If you booked LON-DUB separate to DUB-MCO then you would pay the lower APD but would not be protected for misconnects.
So if your FR flight was delayed and you missed your DUB-MCO flight you would lose the ticket.
