I managed to get a reasonable deal using cash plus Avios for return flights to BKK for my wife and I.

Like many before I am pondering the value of paying an extra £260 to pre-select seats. I appreciate only I know the answer and have tried to read around this forum and other websites but a few questions may help me decide.

I immediately checked availability after booking and unfortunately 4E and 11E are taken which rules out sitting together and having direct aisle access.

The last time I checked 5A&K and 11A&K were available, I know that would mean not sitting together but we would both have aisle access and nobody stepping over us, I think.

My questions then are as follows.

Are there any other good seats that I'm missing?

How tight a squeeze is it behind the B&J seats and the bulkhead when entering and exiting 5A&K and 11A&K?

Does anyone who flies this route regular know if it runs to capacity around May? (I appreciate nobody has a crystal ball but was thinking generally)

How much of a problem is it when people step over you? Or does it really depend on how often the offending passenger does it along with their agility levels?

Any advice much appreciated, and if I've posted in the wrong place then my apologies.
