So i have an Amtrak Guest Rewards Chase MasterCard. I've accumulated more than 20,000 Guest Rewards points, but i'm yet to spend any money on "Amtrak travel", which is necessary for transferring points to Hilton Honors. Can i purchase an Amtrak ticket anywhere, then call to transfer the points and then proceed to cancel the ticket after the points has been transferred?
