As a nation we may not excel at languages, but we must be top of the multi-metrological league!
Reminds me of the time I went to my local timber merchent for some 2 x 2 only to be told it is now 50 x 50 mm. On enquiring the price, I was told it was available in 6 and 8 foot lengths.
