The question is, as a Plat, the odds to be upgraded to Club floor at JW? Some on this thread say yes, most say no. I always have at the Ren and in addition I like the 30% off F&B they offer when I want a full dinner. I like their Italian place.
If the odds at the JW are against me I'll save the 15k bht and spend it on better wine.
I have stayed several nights a year at the JW since it first opened either as Gold and Plat. Alrhough I have rarely had upgrades to a suite or a larger than standard room I cannot recall ever not being given an upgrade to a Club Level room. Note that does not necessarily mean being on the 16th floor as is more than one Exec Level floor. Irrespective of what floor you're on you will get the benefits.
