Finally booked it via BAs SIN office. Waiting time to connect was around 20 minutes.
Someone asked how I found availability...via united.com.
UAs cost for the award would be 30,000 Miles and $38.60.
I wonder if UA eats some of the fees, surely they appear to all be payable to the respective governmental authorities.
