I must just have good luck. I got a rep in Florida who was very friendly, said of course it was no problem to pay by debit card and that I could even store multiple debit card numbers if I wanted.

I even used my SO's debit card to pay a Citi card he's not an AU on. She only asked for address verification. Saved a trip to Wally in some nasty weather.
