Our goal now was to rebook for the next day. But how? The lines at the AA Customer Service area was hundreds of people long, likely from other people who missed their connection due to long immigration and customs lines caused by understaffing and a thousand questions by the agents.

Could we have rebooked for the next day via the phone, or online using our Smartphone? Or maybe we should have bought a one day pass at the Admirals Club and they would have helped us.

(We ended up waiting in line for over two hours and was rebooked at the first flight of the next day which gave us about four hours of sleep. I felt like a zombie from all the missing sleep.)

What would a more knowledgable traveler on AA do?
Call the 800 number while you are standing in line.
