I can't think of any airport that is fun to stay over in - only had to do it YYZ once.

YOW is pretty small which makes pre-clearance relatively quicker, but there is no lounge in the transborder area if that makes any difference. Both YUL and YYZ have lounges that would at least allow you to grab a bite to eat before flying out.
