EL-AL is not a charity organization, They try to maximize profit,
well, they're not terribly good at that, are they?
On United and Delta, if you fly a lot on expensive fares, you're actually in (some cases considerably) better shape.
El Al is disgracefully mismanaged, its an embarrassment to the State of Israel.
