Trying to see if its wprth flying LHR-DUB (4.5K Avios + $27.50 RFS) + SFO-DUB

vs
LHR-LAX-SFO AA 20K Aadvantage (off peak) +$203.60 USD

I'd say go AA if looking at economy as you'd be on one ticket, if you want to go business class then IMHO go via DUB and allow plenty of time or overnight (maybe even a short stopover) to change planes.

LHR-DUB (economy) = 4.5k + US$27.50 (appx using RFS)
DUB-SFO (economy) = 25k + US$80.00 (estimate - someone else might know better, I've only done DUB-BOS)
DUB-SFO (economy) = 50k + US$80.00 (estimate)
