It is totally worth it. If you spend about $8000/mo, you could easily meet minimum spend requirement on a lot of credit cards without doing any MS. That said, I would try to boost the FICO score above 750 which credit card company like to see. One trick is to pay off your balance before the statement even closes. That will help keep you utilization % low. Getting more credit card actually will help in this aspect too since your overall credit limit will increase. Two cards that you can start with easily is the Barclays US air MC which gives 40000 miles with first purchase and the Citi AA card which gives 50000 miles with $3000 spend in 3 mos. If you and your partner/spouse each do that you will have close to 200000 OneWorld miles just like that when AA/USair merge next year.
