Depends on the hotel. Depends on your relationship with the hotel. The Marriott where I stay stores 2 bags for me every time I leave (clothes, amps, etc. for me and my wife) and holds them for sometimes more than 2 months. But I have been staying there at least 6 months a year for 10 years.

If the hotel is a good hotel (I'm not sure I'd trust a hostel or a 1* or 2* with my bags anyway) and you have a reservation for your return they will likely agree to store them.
