January 10 PPT-HNL
When I first started checking in July, the fare was just over $1K. As of last week, the fare has jumped to nearly $1,400! While I know that New Year's is one of the busiest travel times and I don't expect a stellar "deal", for that kind of money one could fly from the mainland to say Australia or New Zealand.
So my questions are for the experts here who have experience with these flights: Is this just par for the course for flights to Tahiti from Hawaii? Is there any reasonable chance the fare will drop, or do I need to bite the bullet now before it gets even worse?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Flew HNL-PPT-HNL earlier this year for $956 and watched the prices for +/- 4 months from the dates and that is about the lowest price.
