IIRC - the airport train takes about 30mins to Kowloon where you can do some quick street shopping, take the star ferry to the city and grab something to eat before heading back. Round trip fare is about $20 USD.

It's worth checking out if you've never been to HKG before. Everything is fast and efficient. The only hiccup might be the immigration lines which can back up depending on the time of day.
