I've been experiencing a new species of DYKWIA with alarming frequency lately. These people seem to have an urge to be the first to get off the plane, even if they are seated in row 41. Twice this weekend I was the first person from my row to stand up into the aisle upon the plane parking at the gate. I retrieve my bag from the overhead bin, only to feel somebody's back start pressing against mine. Mr. DYKWIA across the aisle has more important places to be than everybody else. It gets stronger and stronger and despite my best efforts to plant myself where I am standing in the aisle, this technique has obviously been perfected because in a matter of a few seconds I find myself effectively back in my seat. The second time it happened, Mr. DYKWIA was in the window seat, and and actually climbed over the other pax in his row before getting to me in the aisle. Be safe out there, they seem to be proliferating.
