Since you are a lawyer, then surely you can see through the hyperbole posted on here. I get quite the chuckle from it.
You may not take assaults on your profession personally, but some of the attacks on screeners here are blatantly personal, and are implicitly so. Of this there is no denying.
Happy Holidays to you as well.

Good point. I try to treat the screeners as people as I believe they are. I feel bad when I am not nice to them or treat them like inanimate objects.
It is difficult for me to separate the people from the position -- do you know what I mean? My resentment boils over and results in my treating screeners poorly and I do not like myself when I do that.
The screeners may be doing an idiotic job or they may not be, I can't really know the truth of the matter. I do not like what has happened to air travel and I often want to take out my anger on the screeners. But it is not their fault and for that matter I cannot really say for sure that the screening is a bad thing. Perhaps the appearance of security is a wonderful thing -- who can know for sure?
