Insurance and credit cards

I booked a flight on one card (Arrival) and a (prepaid, non-refundable) hotel night for a layover during the same trip on another card (CSP). Prior to the overnight layover I have a fairly tight connection at PHX. I'll be travelling on Dec 25 and am booked on the last flight of the day PHX-LAX, which makes being stuck in PHX seem like a real possibility.

Most credit card T&Cs have language about booking the entire trip on the card for their insurance to apply, but I don't think it's clear what that means. In my situation, if I get stuck in PHX and thus delayed or rerouted so as to not use my hotel booking, would either of the cards I used reimburse me?
