I just went to the Aeroplan web site - taking TAP in business class earns 200% (2 Aeroplan miles per actual mile flown) AQMs!

Taking TAP from NYC to Lisbon and back should get you the sufficient AQMs, if you already have the minimum AQMs with AC (ie 10,000 AQMs).
