Totally agree. The best flight of my life was on VA J, which has a meh business class product (though I did get row 5 which is awesome). The FAs were absolutely stunning, which made the meh product amazing.
In contrast, Thai made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, turning what could have been a decent F product into a terrible one.
Funny you should say that...my favorite airline is KLM. One reason is a bit of nostalgia, because I grew up overseas where it was one of the few airlines I flew with to visit Europe or N. America. But the second reason is they have, personally, my favorite flight attendants. I'm not Dutch, but I think I gel well with their personalities, and for me, that is the biggest plus for that airline, regardless if I'm in Y or J.
