Had a quick visit to the temporary Air NZ lounge before flying SYD-SFO on the 5th (after going to the SQ lounge for most of my time).

As others have said, it's small, but I had no problems getting a seat - but that might have just been good timing. Food options are down on what they were upstairs - still far better than the average UC, but not as good as SQ. They do have a single shower in the mens room (and I presume the same in the womens)

The only two disadvantages of the SQ lounge are that they do not announce UA flights, and no Annie. If you can live without those two, I'd just skip the NZ lounge entirely.
