I truly love NZ. I spent a total of a month there over the last two years. It is a truly stunning place where I found the residents to be informal, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, I'm too old to immigrate to realistically consider moving there.</font>
Glad you enjoyed your trips.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">There's only one major downside for those of us from the US. The US$ has been tanking against the NZ$. When we visited last year, it was 2.45$NZ/1$US. We had trouble breaking $60US for dinner for two with a bottle of wine. When we back earlier this year for the America's Cup, the rate was 1.85$NZ/1$US. Now its 1.56$NZ/1$US </font>
It makes a change for the kiwi peso (I mean dollar) to actually buy something overseas. The last couple of years I've had to force myself not to convert prices back to $NZ - it just hurt too much.
