I truly love NZ. I spent a total of a month there over the last two years. It is a truly stunning place where I found the residents to be informal, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, I'm too old to immigrate to realistically consider moving there.

There's only one major downside for those of us from the US. The US$ has been tanking against the NZ$. When we visited last year, it was 2.45$NZ/1$US. We had trouble breaking $60US for dinner for two with a bottle of wine. When we back earlier this year for the America's Cup, the rate was 1.85$NZ/1$US. Now its 1.56$NZ/1$US
