I thought I'd read somewhere way back in the thread that it was still possible to pay the £50 cards into an NS&I account - guess I must have misread it.
The £50+£3.95 fee (or £25+£2.95) ones can still be widely used, including NS&I.
3V can't be used for NS&I.
