ChrisLi is definitely right on this one.
OP needs to enter/exit PRC if he wants to fly this.
And 1 hr 15 min is highly ill-advised as a Foreigner.
Even someone with a Home Return permit will take 30-40 mins, getting off the plane, immigration, go back upstairs and re-check.

Experience saids, give yourself 2 1/2 - 3 hrs to be safe.
289 is usually on-time but who wants to play Air Force Roulette?
I normally do AA 289 > CX 369 to be safe.

sscywong, what the sign saids and whats in actual practice differs in China

And Mama SHF just flew DFW-PVG-HKG last month so she knows the in/outs, hehe
